E for Earth Witch

Earth - Specifically centered on the element of Earth; grounding exercises, rock/soil collecting, strong appreciation of the natural world, creating and using symbols associated with earth

Similar to Kitchen and Green Witch.

The Earth element is the one most closely linked with our physical world, and the densest of all the elements. It is the foundation on which the other elements, and is a receptive energy, helping us to accept responsibility and bringing to our attention limitations in our makeup. It is represented in the forms of burying objects in the earth, herbalism, and making images out of wood or stone. Spells that benefit from the element are business-related spells, fertility-related spells, prosperity-related spells, and stability-related spells.

You might be a Earth Witch if you...

-feel deep connection with nature
-have great collection of herbs and essential oils
-you love walks and foraging
-you attract animals and insects
-you work with Earth element
-you live in harmony and rhythm of the nature
-have green and healthy diet
-you have a herbal journal of some kind or any nature related journal
-you are obsessed learning everything about nature

Earth witch gets energy from trees, crystals and animals. Earth witches abilities are protection, strength, healing and wealth. Their strengths are being grounded, logical and hard working. They love dirt in their hands while doing gardening or their feet while walking in nature bare foot. They enjoy everything related to earth and nature. They are good with animals and have obsession with herbs knowledge and essential oils. Earth witches surround them with plants and like to use green as their favorite color.. in basically everything, like in clothing and their decor. They may have a some kind of collection of rocks and crystals.

Even when I was a kid, I was fascinated by nature and everything in it. I walked in forests for hours and could just spend time watching trees and collecting rocks. It was a sad day when my mom threw away my rock collection. I still love rocks, but crystals have become maybe more important in these past few years. I love to do grounding, my head is always in the clouds (read my Air witch post), so it is very important to come down from the clouds and just be grounded. It even makes me think more clearly, helps me make better decisions even. I love everything green, I would loooove to have more plants in my apartment, but sadly it is just too difficult, my cat´s keep eating the plants and only room I can have plants, the sun brights too brightly and the room is very hot. But I try my best to have even something here. What is your favorite thing about nature? What you like to do the most in nature? I am going camping next week, can´t freaking wait, eek!! There is probably coming a post about it, so.. exited about that too!

How to connect with nature

Make contact with the earth. Take a walk in the grass barefoot, hug a tree, plant something with your bare hands, meditate on the dirt.

Have indoor plants. Not only do they freshen the air around you, but each plant brings it own unique benefits as well, such as mood boosters.

Open your window and blinds.  Breathe in the fresh air and take in your outdoor surroundings.

If possible, do what you do indoors, outdoors! Even if you’re just sitting on a patio, you can still enjoy the benefits of the outdoors while doing what you need to do.

Collect outdoor elements. Often I see witches decorate their altar with outdoor elements. This is a simple and effective way to better your connection with nature.

Grounding

If you can, create a relaxing environment for yourself. Light a candle, shift position, stretch, get in some pajamas, set yourself up to relax.

Feel your energy pool with each exhale. Let it graze the surface of your skin. Let it accumulate.

Feel the ground beneath you. Where are you? Are you sitting with your legs crossed on a grassy hill? Are you stretched out in an armchair? Are you lying in bed? Are you on a train or in a car?

Wherever you are, beneath the floor is soil. There are roots clinging to the earth, there are plants finding peace and solace beneath the ground. Picture a plant you love sprouting in the very place you sit. Is it a flower? An herb? A tree?

Take another deep breath, keep going, feel the air in your lungs.

You are surrounded by the atmosphere. A whole bunch of gases are protecting you from anything spooky that might be out in space. You are safe here. You are safe.

Remember that wherever you are, you are on the Earth. You are a part of the world. Life thrives above, beneath, and all around you. You are alive.

You are here, wherever you are. You are not in any imminent danger. Maybe you’re not okay right now, maybe you don’t feel relaxed and safe, but you are alive. Despite everything, you exist, you are here with everybody else.

Everything will be okay.

Take a few more deep breaths.

Keep going until you feel a bit better. Go get a glass of cold water, if you can. Try to grab a snack if you’re hungry. Take a shower, even. Whatever you need to do to take care of yourself.

D for Dream Witch

Dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about you.

-Marsha Norman

Dream - (A possible variation of Hedge) Mindful and internal magickal practice mainly based from interpreting dreams and/or engaging in lucid dreaming. Those who intensify as this may “de-code” symbols and messages in the dream world similar to how one would use a divination technique.

Let´s get real here. I need a lot of sleep. Like a LOT. I also used to keep dream journal when I was a kid and now a days I sometimes write little novels about my dreams. I also could control my dreams, realized when I am dreaming and say "wake up" to myself while having a nightmare. Lucid dreaming can be very exiting experience and you can learn to do it. If you have trouble sleeping, you might try dream meditation tapes. Those whale sounds or rain kind. I have never tried but I could some day, that would be a new thing. I also want to try to put stuff (like crystals that helps you sleep or see certain dreams) under my pillow again and make some dream tea´s.  Dreams  and dreaming can be an empowering and energy giving thing. To me, it definitely is. Let´s meet in a dream.

What kind of dreams do you have?

What you might need (I need 3 cats in my bed)
 -a dream journal
-amethyst, howlite, or other calming crystals
-a solid bedtime yoga routine (it´s nice to go to sleep after a workout, I sleep a lot better)

-all the pillows you have (I want lots of pillows from my housewarming party)
-glowing ceiling stars (always wanted them)
-bedtime snacks
-a nightlight
- moon water
- at least one stuffed animal
-calming lotions
-the fluffiest socks
- a dream interpretation book.. or as many as you need is needed.
- sleep sachets
- the comfiest pj’s ever
- a moon phase app
- sigils
- an alarm clock (bc no, you can’t stay in bed forever)
-dream meditation tape
-tea
-melatonin
-lavender

-You can put a picture of someone underneath your pillow in order to connect with them better.
-You can put the name of someone underneath your pillow in order to connect with them better.

Sweet Dreams Sachet

You will need

• a small pouch/bag/jar/container
• amethyst
• rose quartz
• sugar (for extra sweetness)
• basil leaves (to banish those bad dreams)

First cleanse the stones of any energy they had attained. Then  place them both in small pouch and sprinkle sugar and basil over them. As you drew the strings on the pouch, say a this spell or make your own.

“ Dreams be sweet,
dreams be kind,
during this rest, give me peace of mind”

Repeat until intent had been made clear, then place it under the pillow inside of the pillow case.

Dream witch tips

-Always cleanse yourself after a nightmare. Dreams manifest energy so get rid of those negative energies and use extra self care the next day. Your mind and spirit will thank you 🕉
**For cleansing after a nightmare you may use lemon, thyme, and lavender water infusion, you can drink it or add it to a bath

-Place amethyst and scolecite under your pillow or wear them as an amulet to induce lucid dreaming and peaceful astral projection

-Trouble sleeping lately? Having anxious or unclear dreams?
Open the window closest to your bed, and shake out your covers.
Completely changing your bedding is great, but I know it takes a lot of spoons to do that.
Shake your covers, beat your pillows, beat and brush off crumbs from your sheet.
This should clear up stagnant energy from your sleeping space and clear up your head!

-“Place lavender under your pillow while thinking of your wish. Do this just prior to retiring for the night. In the morning, if you have dreamt of anything relating to your wish, it will come true. However, if you did not have dreams, or if they were unconnected with your wish, it will not manifest”
~ Scott Cunningham’s encyclopedia of magical herbs

-An obsidian and amethyst combo does wonders in warding against nightmares and ensuring peaceful dreams

-Sea sand is amazing for dream work. Keep a jar of sea sand (dream dust) next to your bed to protect against nightmares and help guide your dreams
**add rosemary to help remember your dreams
*** add citrine for an extra anti-nightmare boost

-Herb sachets hung above your bed (request herb sachet recipes from me if you’re interested).

-Hang Dry herbs upside down in your bedroom (Lavender helps for anxiety and depression… it is very calming or Mugwort for dreams. Mugwort is very invasive, you can find it growing everywhere).

-Herbs placed inside your pillow sheet (Mugwort leaves inside to active lucid dreams).

-Setup an Altar near your bed: add elements of earth, fire, water and air. You can also use your windowsill as an altar.

-Place Black Tourmaline under your bed: shields you energetically by taking the electromagnetic frequencies, and instead of absorbing them, tourmaline changes, redirects, cleanses, and purifies the energy. This is how it handles negativity, even energies of psychic attack too!

-Place Sigil writings or powders for protection and restful beauty sleep under your mattress.

-Keep a dream journal under your pillow! Dreams can help us get a glimpse into our subconscious and the more dreams you write the easier it becomes for you to remember them.

-Unless you are allergic, sleep with the window halfway open or cracked to let good energy move around and circulate in your room and keep skin hydrated during the night.

-Drink herbal tea before bed each night. (Request free herbal tea recipes from me if interested) Mugwort tea is great to have in the evening before bed to reach high levels of lucid dreaming

-Smoking Herbs before bed is great as well. Book for further reading: Smoke Plants Of North America by M.R. Ross. (Request free Smoke Blend recipes from me if interested). With reverence, Rosemary Milk
