Imbolc 2018

What inspires me the most at the moment is my witchcraft. When I think about nature, wicca, witchy things and all the little details, I just feel me the most. It is very empowering feeling. This year feels so good, all the vibes are just right and everything seems to work the way I imagine it. All the photoshoots goes so well, my way to working life is doing great, my new meds are working and I don´t just cry all the time.. I have this amazing energy in me which I want to use in creative way. 

Imbolc (pagan Sabbath which you celebrate 1.-2.2.) has inspired me to do more crafts and even decorate my home in Sabbath colors and make some certain mood in our home. To me Imbolc represent white, the white snow is so pure, there is no negativity, it is like new sheet of paper, you can write or draw anything you like. Pinterest came my life again in such a big way and I fell in love with the ideas of minimalistic in decor, just little details that makes the atmosphere. Candles, white, curtains, white. I really love the old jars that has been waiting for some new use for my crafting projects, but actually they look perfect as candle holders. After I took these pictures I washed more jars so now our table in living room will be the same mood.

This sabbath inspires me to white goth style and channel some moon energy. I am so into crystals at the moment, I just wish I have money to buy more. I want to learn more about them and make my home energy to have more flow to it. Also I am interested how to use them in healing or in my own personal life. Any gem fans out there?

I also started few bigger projects I will show you after I am done with them, but the beginning/ test run you can see in the window. Last Imbolc I gathered some wood from the forest and I finally got some string and I want some big witchy decor on my walls that I have made myself. There is also coming some dreamcatchers and paintings that I have been thinking on putting to the walls. I am so hyped about this month, can´t wait to show what else I have been doing! I am so gonna celebrate Imbolc the whole month.

My Cabinet of curiosities

Biggie is one of my favorites, probably because it is the biggest skull I have at the moment

Beltane is always one of my biggest sabbats and I am used to do Spring cleaning around that time. I am almost finished, but I still need to go trough quite much stuff to throw away.. I am just way too full of all the stuff I have. The limit has come. 

Bedroom has been this years project (last year it was the kitchen, I am taking pictures from it too, but I am going trough few cabinets first and there is little bit of a chaos at the moment..) and I got huge amount of inspiration and power from the Spring  sun. I decided it is time to paint the walls white (I will show some before and afters soon too), because the wallpapers were just.. ugly. White totally brightened the whole room, it feels so much bigger and calm. And I love the contrast of white and black.

The old bookshelf (which was brown before I painted it black) got new look this year because I wanted it to be my new cabinet of curiosities. It shows most of my bone collection and few of my witch things. I didn´t move my witch books or tarots, because I have noticed this is a good place for them. The lights has been there from last Yule, they look so pretty that I don´t want to take them off at all.

Dark shadows and vanity table DIY

Feeling all victorian witchy today. Cleaning and decorating is so calming while watching Criminal minds, Hannibal movies and Dark Shadows, which I started to watch again. Only soap opera I am willing to watch! I love the mood in it and how every motion is so over the top and they need to watch in the great distance where nobody else doesn´t see.. Music is amazing and even though I already know the family secrets (because the movie and all) I still love to wait and see how Victoria reveals them.

I didn´t tell you guys that I got a chance to go botanical garden in Turku early in this year, I wish I would have took more pictures but what can you do.. It was so beautiful! This little pong even had koi fishes in it! I had never seen them before and they were huge, I wish I had pictures of them too..

And look what goodies I am getting this week! New little babies for my cabinet of curiosity (add zillion hearts here). The little batties are the ones I am waiting for the most, 2 skeletons and 1 dried one, so cute! All of these will look amazing in our bat cave. Little clocks will have transformation to new covers for few skeletons. Few years ago I had 1 globe clock but I think I throw it away accidentally..

My current painting project is my vanity table which I keep in the bedroom. I don´t use it that much and mostly it´s just covered well.. stuff. I decided to make it more me, so maybe it will be in more use. Mu husband found it for me and it is second hand, it was free. So only thing that cost in this DIY for me, is the paints, which I already bought for my other projects and didn´t use that much so this was perfect. Paint was dry after 2 hours and the big black one was so good one for this one. I even have still to paint something else! I still need to fix the drawers.. or maybe I want them to be ombre.. really can´t decide. I got the idea to paint insides red from GIY´s blog (which is amazing, go check it out). I have seen many others to do this too, but I think I first see it on there. Absolutely gorgeous dresser by the way. I think I want the ornaments or something beautifully detailed things in my vanity table too. And later on I am going to get new nobs, maybe crystal or victorian detailed, which I love oh so much.

Metal leather jacket and kitchen update

Because I have 6 months of blogging material this will be fun haha!

January I got my first Killstar leather jacket, it cost so much but hey, it looks so badass. Every time I use it I feel like Porcelain Black/Harley Quinn/Maria Brink/Toxic vision, yeah, the feel is awesome. The jacket weights 4 kilos (9 lbs), it is so heavy to take with me to photoshoots and when I wear it, I feel like I am having a workout or bulletproof vest (which reminds me of Once upon a time newest season, people you need to watch that show). But because it is just so beautiful, I don´t mind that much.

I tried to find better picture for me using this from my selfie collection but hell, they are all so dark and taken with a phone..

Anywho, today´s plan is to continue my kitchen renovation, I am washing weeks of dishes (yeah I am not that clean person, but I am trying to be... being depressed almost all the time isn´t helping either) and I think that all though everything is how they were before I started, it is nicer to see the change. I also feel so much cleaner in my mind, cleaning and doing painting work makes me go the same place as meditating, I feel calm and my mind is all clear from normal stuff I stress about. So as the home get cleaner (and cooler), I feel like I am changing with it. So, this will be a fun thing to share with you guys!

I also found new lamp to kitchen, which I am totally in love with. I think I will get pictures from new kitchen this week, with the chandelier. It was on sale, I just couldn´t but buy it. I still need new drapes, maybe next month. If I don´t find nice enough, I need to go to fabric store and make them myself. Can´t wait to show the full before and after pictures.

Yesterday I was helping my friend to get rid off oh tons of stuff. Maybe I got some energy from that, doing so much with my full strenght. So when I woke up, I wanted to try pastel goth style. I colored my white shirt light pink and draw one of my favorite quotes of all time from one of my favorite movies, The Craft. I am also having blonde hair phase, I am glad that wigs can make your style change in just one minute. My shorts I got from my friend and I made them to look more like me with new studs in the front. I was so happy doing DIY stuff again, you can make everything look unique with such little effort. So, what do you think my colorful and light style phase, more bubble/pastel goth in the future?
